A bit about Ange...

Here's how it is... (Tha were born 'n' bred int Yorkshire)

Photography and I have grown up together. From my early days as a little Triff, I remember my Dad lugging around a heavy camera bag on every outing and pointing those long black things into flowers and towards unsuspecting butterflies! I didn't get how it all worked, but I was in awe of the incredible images that my Dad created with this magical, memory machine! I had a longing to learn how to "freeze time" and pause life, in order to capture a moment for eternity.

Little did I know back then, that my hobby was going to accompany me through all the ups and downs of life. There has been times when I've neglected it, fallen out with it and lost my vision temporarily, but on reflection, photography has been my one constant in life and it has never abandoned me, always welcoming me back like an old friend.

At times life got busy, as it does...then I became a Mum and life got super busy! However, I had the perfect opportunity to dust off my camera and lenses, with two beautiful and willing little models in front of me daily. From this point on, my passion for taking photos was reignited and I promised myself that I was going to pursue my dream of becoming a professional photographer.

The little things in life are actually the big things and through my photography, I hope to inspire people to pause and look around them for a moment. It's amazing what people neglect to notice...a hovering Kestrel by the roadside, an impressive cloud formation, a random act of kindness or the light cascading through dewdrops on a leaf. Beauty is all around us, we just need to look a little closer sometimes and appreciate the world we live in and respect it.

I'm passionate about capturing not just smiles, but souls with my portraits. (Sounds deep, but it's true!) I love using vibrant colours to express personalities and mood and I endeavour to create magical looking scenes out of every day landscapes and situations.

Years of working with children, along  with bringing up my own two boys, has thankfully kept me in touch with my imagination and playful, fun ways! Should you wish for me to capture your child having fun and being relaxed, rather than the traditional "forced smiles" school photos, then outdoor shoots can be booked in scenic Yorkshire locations or you can visit me at my photo studio, which is nestled in the stunning little market town of Wetherby, West Yorkshire.

Please take a little time to explore my portfolio and feel free to contact me directly if you wish to purchase any of my work or discuss requirements for a photoshoot. You can also follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see my recent work and news.
